Im a Laker........and Mountain Lakes is a pretty cool town. It has a great school system, amazing athletics, and everyone has laker pride. yes, there are some snobby girls, but not all of us are like that. if your school doesnt have snobby girls that have to look good....well im pretty sure thats impossible. most girls are not in that group....including me and i have alot of friends....and Boonton Township kids dont hate us... im friends with most of them. yes, sports are important......but you dont have to play lacrosse to be "popular." Our football team is really good an basketball, field hockey, and ice hockey. if you want to hate on mountain lakes go ahead. this town is an extremely nice place to grow up. also to all you people that say you get made fun of if your not white & christian...well thats not true. Im jewish and i never get made fun of.

Mountain Lakes is basically just a lovely little town. We drink a lot. Play a lot of drinking games. Some morons blow yayo or smoke the ganj. But the majority of kids are just looking to enjoy being moderatly to extremely wealthy. Yes we drive around in our nice whips with tints and subs, but hey ...wouldnt you too? In mountain lakes its beirut, not beer pong. We take that very seriously, and If we don't get you on the lax field we'll get you on the ruit table. Enjoy life, drink some beers, rock a lacoste or two, and remember that these are the best days-- living off your parents money.

A small, pleasant town in Northern NJ. Most of the high schoolers drink alcohol regularly and still maintain a pretty high GPA. The school gets great test scores and everyone goes to a nice college. The people are very shallow and apathetic. Although the girls think they are all that,most show up to school wearing sweatshirts and old UGGS, with washed out Hard Tails. Other definitions describe the people as good looking, but in reality very few are. The gossip is only about people who want to be gossiped about, and who do things over the weekend just so that on Monday people will be talking about them. Sports are really bad at the high school, except for boys lacrosse and swimming. Girls talk about other girls they hate, which is ironic because the reason they hate them is because they talk about people. Mountain Lakes has its own lingo like "legit", "obnoxious", "all out", "dominate", "beastly",and "def". Everyone knows everyone since they were born. Most people aren't actually that rich, only a few families are. The majority of families are upper middle class, which is still very nice. Mountain Lakes is really no different than any other town. You have your rich, your poor, the in between, the popular, the outcasts, the nerdy, and the Star Wars fans. The only difference is that for some reason everyone in Mountain Lakes thinks they are better than other people. Even people in the same town, which makes it very hard to find true and loyal friends.

There are many contrasting entries and ideas on Moutain Lakes. It is a suburb of New Your City, but is located in NJ.
The reason for the difference in entries is merely who wrote it. This is because Mountain lakes is full of NAZI aryans (blond hair blue eyes). This town is very rich.
There are no blacks, indians, or hispanics. There are scattered Jews and Asians, but the ones there act very white and Christian.
The pro-Lakers are probably aryan Christians.
The Anti-Lakers are probably blacks hispanics etc.

Mountain lakes is a great town. I lived there practically all my life and just recently moved. My new town is much bigger and predominately black and hispanic, but i had no issue adjusting or fitting in. Educationally, I was more than prepared, I was more advanced then many of the straight A students, and it's not like I walked into some shitty school system, I'm in the IB program!
And as for all of you that are attempting to whore this great place, I suggest you go to the schools for a little while, considering that I saw far too many spelling mistakes just glancing at a few of your pathetic entries. (FYI, it's posse, not possy). Maybe you should spend a little more time studying, and a little less wishing you were from ML and naturally smart because we were all raised that way.

ML kids are the greatest, and the majority have a lot of friends from outside schools and towns, so some of your friends (if you have any) like them.
