MSSM
n. Acronym for the "Maine School of Science and Mathematics," a magnet school located in remote Limestone, ME. Students at MSSM are delightfully quirky and, often times, are not interested in science or math. See also "I'm sending my child of above-average-intelligence WHERE?," "Limestone's Little Treasure," and "The Braveristan-Communist War of 2006."
Due to dearth of activity in Northern Maine, students at the MSSM must come up with ways to amuse themselves and pass the time not spent on grueling math majors or Bolstridge papers.

crunchy
Adjective. Used to describe persons who have adjusted or altered their lifestyle for environmental reasons. Crunchy persons tend to be politically strongly left-leaning and may be additionally but not exclusively categorized as vegetarians, vegans, eco-tarians, conservationists, environmentalists, neo-hippies, tree huggers, nature enthusiasts, etc.
Also used to describe establishments where alternative foods and products are sold, i.e. natural food stores.
