King Of Rock

1. Run-DMC made the claim of being "King of Rock" back on their 2nd album of that title back in '85. They remain to be probably the most influential rap group of all time; therefore they are still the undisputed Kings of rock.

2. To add more depth and dimention to the phrase that came to define Run-DMC, "king of rock" refers to a movement in the landscape of music. Hip hop now is and forever will be the new version of rock and roll. it defines the culture, thoughts and attitudes of America's youth.
"I am the king of rock, there is none higher.

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue?
