Person who is always on the lookout for free junk on the side of the road and around dumpsters. Also, drives the long way, through communities, and behind stores looking for anything considered free.

Noun. A form of rubbernecking used to determine whether roadside junk is trash or treasure.

We found an awesome lawnmower cart on the side of the road. I'm great at junkernecking. I caught it in my peripheral vision at the last second.
