JK uniform

Japanese school uniforms are called "JK" because "JK" is the English abbreviation for "Joshi Kousei" (女子校生), the Japanese term for a female high school student. The term "JK uniform" specifically refers to the uniforms worn by these female high school students, or the fashion style inspired by them. However, many English speakers don't know what "JK" akcually stands for. Therefore, lately there are many online shop listings that mention that "JK uniform" is the backronym for "Japanese-Korean uniform".
I spotted a cute JK uniform at the pop-up shop, and it reminded me of the stylish outfits I used to see in anime featuring female high school students!
