Word used for refrigerator when it was first avilable. Used frequently just as it's introduction in the 1930's, when more than 2 million Americans owned refrigerators. Preceding those days wooden ice boxes were used with block ice.

Icebox is an adjective used to describe something especially chill, dank, or cool. A group of guys chilling, having a great time, would characterize their adventures and exploits as icebox. If things take a turn for the worse, then that situation is no longer icebox and has become freezerburnt.

Other word for refrigirator wich was used in the 60's, but now not anymore. It is a shame it isn't used anymore, because it's a cool word. I think we should all abandon the word refrigirator and use icebox instead. Where the fuck does refrigirator come from anyway. It's also used to describe ice cubes home.
A: Can you put this human i chopped up in peaces in the icebox for me please?
B: yeah sure.
