A character from Lord of the Rings. He has inspired the creation of a metal sub-genre, known as Gollum-core (or smeogal-core). This genre is commonly associated with the band, Forgetting Skaro.

I love listening to musicians who sound like gollum.

messed up hobbit consumed by the ring, his "precious", who will do anything, i mean any thing, for that thing. must have smoked a lot of crack or something cuz he always makes a weird noise in his throat that sounds like: "ggggoooollummm, goolllummm." (hence the name)
Gives us great lines in LOTR

Gollum says: "Whats taters, precious, whats taters eh?"

Gollum 

From the Lord of the Ring's trilogy; he is one of the greatest CGI character's of our time.

He has a split personality. One being Smegol, his former self. The other being Gollum, a personailty created by the ring that poisioned his life for 500 years.

Smegol tries to aid Frodo and Sam untill Gollum finally betrays them and sends them to Shelob.

Gollum: "We could let...'her' do it."
