Ghost Ping

A discord term. When someone pings you in a message but deletes it so you get a random notification.

I have a notification. Wait there's nothing here? Guess I was ghost pinged.

Ghost Ping

On Discord, a "Ghost Ping" is when someone mentions or direct message someone else, but delete the message before they can read it, leaving them with an empty notification.

Oh hey, i got mentioned!
Nope, just another ghost ping.
