¡¿What the foci?!
¡¿What the foci?! is an expression that is relatively unknown and unused, considering that each year millions of high school students worldwide experience a great need for such a phrase. This phrase is simultaneously a profane question and exclamation, and so a fukquestatement. Within the realm of high school mathematics, a "focus" is a point within the interior of an "ellipse" (a circle that stayed out too late the night before, i.e. ellipsicated). An ellipse is one of the conic sections aka connexations sic. In fact, there are two such points, and the plural is foci (as in octupus / octupi). Students are often asked to find the foci of an ellipse in a homework problem or on a test. Typically, this situation arises in the spring of the school year for students in Algebra 2.
Some students had no problem figuring out the details of conic sections during the exam. However, the twins, who had instead been pondering the associated study of connexations earlier that spring instead, did have a problem. After being asked to describe the two most important points within the interior of an ellipse, bewildered and frustrated, the twins simply felt ellipsicated, looked at each other across the room and nodded in silent agreement, ¡¿What the foci?!

Fear of Coughing in Public,
This fear manifests itself in a variety of ways including:
1) a realization that “yes, you might in fact be sick, and the cough is the least of your concerns”. Alternately
2) caused by the fear of judgement of others in your immediate vicinity, for your obvious selfish decision to not heed warning to stay home, despite how unrealistic that expectation is for many people whose career and financial well-being do not allow for that.
3) worrying about the improper coughing technique of an open cough, hand cough, or deep throated coughing fit ruining dinner out, an important presentation for work, or your blind date that was love at first sight.
4) the much feared, cough-o-rama, where one individual cough turns in to a chorus of others that precipitates in a collective fear of a two week quarantine without having a change of underwear.

My severe FOCIP while commuting on the train, resulted in me coughing with my mouth closed and going def when my eardrums burst from the pressure. At least I couldn't hear the disdain verbally emanating from fellow passengers.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
