Ethno Rah
A UK social clique. Wore dreadlocks at uni but then got rid of them for their job in Ethical Investment (the ambitious ones) / Yoga Therapy (the bums).
All went to public school. Bryanston / Bedales are main feeders.
Easily identified by their dream catcher earrings, suede Inuit boots, Goa suntan and self-aware serenity when they tell you their self-purifying Bhakti Yoga seminar they attended.
When they were in London's Cuckoo Club trying to pull Nat Rothschild the night before.
Their main trick is to present a veneer of muesli-wholesome, down-to-earth karma, when in fact they're a socially ambitious, manipulative and back-biting lot.
All LOVE psychadelic trance, and congregate at the UK's Glade festival every year, bringing an extra tent to house their assorted outfits for the weekend.

ethno-scene
To be ethno-scene is to be into something that is not only really cool, popular and fashionable, but also very ethnic, or of exotic in culture. This just ups it "level of cool" to over 9000.
An ethno-scene kid probably enjoys:
-hookah
-pho (Vietnamese soup)
-boba (tapioca drinks and milk teas)
-anything that seems exotic, particularly asian or middle eastern.
Ethno-scene is probably caused by the popularity of being liberal, open minded, and culturally accepting. It's found most often in Caucasian people, who want to reach out to a new culture, but ultimately only because it's cool to do so.
Ethno-scenesters enjoy spouting the names of foreign foods and actives, and saying "Oh my god! You've never tried/heard of it?!" And touting the fact that they have.
They're willing to try anything once if it seems ethnic and exotic, and thus cool. This makes them susceptible to eating things that would generally be considered nasty, like bugs or animal organs, and even if they don't necessarily like it, they'll say that it's the best thing ever.
ie tripe (stomach lining) in pho. While pho is actually tasty to even the least exotic peoples, adding tripe makes it 100 times cooler, because it's disgusting, but eaten in other cultures.

"Hey, they have hookah at the coffee shop now!"
"Aw man, if they just served pho, boba, and -insert ethnic food or activity here-, we'd be set! ...Aw man, when'd I become so ethno-scene?"

That guy over there is so afraid of people from the colonies coming in to join in the stolen wealth and prosperity to escape the blowback from Western intervention in their lands is such an ethno-nationalist.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

Pee Calculus
When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
