The Durian emits an odor so horrific for the westerners that it is forbidden in most Singaporean hotels and in come other countries as well. Once there was a Durian eating contest especially made for 20 Westerners in Sabah. At first they thought the green thorny fruit was a walk in the park. Once the referee open up its skin, they all forfeited after smelling the distinct odor of the majestic Durian fruit.
