Dimagi Naxal

A particularly irritating variety of dimak (termite) that has evolved beyond wood and now feeds exclusively on ideas, institutions and other people's patience.

Unlike ordinary termites, which at least have the decency to remain hidden, the dimagi naxal spends its days crawling across social media announcing its intellectual superiority while slowly chewing through whatever it claims to be protecting.

It survives on three things: outrage, self-importance and an absolutely unearned sense of intellectual significance.

The fascinating part is that a termite knows it's a termite.

The dimagi naxal, meanwhile, considers itself an architect.
