The act of steping off of the last stair and thinking there is another following it-- but there isn't, and your foot awkwardly and exaggerantly slams to the surface beneath you.

By-stander: "Dude, you totally dierksen'd off of the last stair."
You: "No I didn't..."
By-Stander: "Yes you did."
