A person, idea, or mental state that blends delusion with imagination. Equal parts unrealistic and strangely inspired.
A portmanteau of delusional and unicorn, with a subtle nod to lunacy and dreamlike (delta-wave) thinking. Can be used as an insult or a compliment, depending on whether the fantasy is ridiculous or visionary.
A beautiful idea that sounds absurd...right up until it doesn’t. Today’s eye-roll, tomorrow’s “well… damn.”
