Doaba

Doaba is the region of Punjab between Beas and Sutlej rivers. People of this region are given the demonym "Doabia". The dialect of Punjabi spoken in Doaba is called "Doabi". The worldwide used word "Kidaa" is a Doabi word. The term "Doaba" or "Doab" is derived from Persian (do āb "two water") meaning "land of two rivers".
