The phrase originated in the 30s in Scotland with the phrase being used from the 30s to the 70s used as a way of saying goodbye in a fun and cheerful way

British builders, Bin men, Site Managers and more use the word "cheerbye". It's an abstracted combination of "cheers" and "bye". It's funny and useful, time saving and elegant. Cheerbye!
