When someone deflects the attention off of themselves when confronted with an issue by pointing someone else’s faults. Like slinging cats on to a person so everyone will look to see what happens and no longer pays attention to you.

When Johnny was confronted about his poor work ethic he immediately started cat slinging by pointing out the laziness of all the other coworkers.
