Cancel Pig 

( noun) A terminally online social justice warrior that spend all their time trying to cancel anyone that disagrees with them. Cancel Pigs will engage in insidious and malicious mob posting on social media attempting to paint their victim with the worst labels imaginable and drive away any social or professional ties. Once someone has been targeted, Cancel Pigs will hound them for the rest of their life. Every time a victim of a Cancel Pigs has the slightest hint of something good happening for them the Cancel Pigs descend to spread vitriol and do everything in their power to destroy that good thing

Cancel Pigs use guilt-by-association as a terror tactic to make people afraid of interacting with the target in any way lest they bring the mob of Cancel Pigs down upon their own head and have their life ruined.

A person, usually a self-proclaimed internet activist, who spends most of their time online maligning anyone they deem "problematic" or "offensive" on social media in an effort to defame or "cancel" said person(s).

"There's this movie that I've been wanting to make for years, but I'm scared those cancel pigs on Twitter will try to shut it down, all because of an innocuous statement I made over a decade ago."

"When I told my brother that I wanted to share my thoughts about controversial topics on social media, he told me the cancel pigs would eat me alive."

Cancel Pig 

An adult crybully or tattletale; a person or group who uses accusations and peer pressure to coerce people, companies, and institutions as well as destroy them reputationally and financially.

Cancel Pigs attack by accusing others of wrongdoing, sometimes real but sometimes an event that is misconstrued or taken out of context. The unforgivingness, along with exaggeration of emotion and impact is what separates the Cancel Pig from a genuinely concerned individual, as well as the occasional list of demands, such as a business changing a product or terminate an employee . They usually work in concert but also can be individuals with access to a news outlet or social media following. Thankfully they are ineffective if ignored but grow more bold and dangerous the more their demands are yielded to.

Cancellighting

The cancel‑culture variant of digitallighting, where the goal is to destroy a person’s public reputation and social standing through coordinated discrediting. Cancellighting involves fabricating or amplifying minor past statements, using them to paint the target as a bigot or abuser, and then rallying a mob to demand their removal from platforms, jobs, or communities. It combines the techniques of gaslighting with the architecture of public shaming, making the target feel both isolated and responsible for their own destruction.

Example: “They took a decade‑old joke she’d apologized for, presented it as recent proof of her ‘true nature,’ and mass‑reported her to her employer—cancellighting, using digital distortion to orchestrate a professional lynching.”

Cancellighting

A form of Digitallighting where the goal is to make a target believe they are genuinely toxic, that their cancellation is their own fault, and that any defense is further evidence of their unfitness. Perpetrators use tactics like isolating the target, publicly dissecting their words, and gaslighting them into doubting their own memory and intentions. Cancellighting often escalates across platforms, with the target being told that the mob’s reaction is “just consequences” and that their pain is proof of their guilt. It transforms social punishment into psychological warfare.

Example: “They told her she was being cancelled because she was a ‘dangerous person,’ and when she expressed distress, they said ‘see, you can’t even handle accountability.’ Cancellighting: making the victim believe their own destruction is justice.”
