Body Electric

Based on writings of sci-fi author Ray Bradbury and his titular and only episode of Twilight Zone, "I Sing The Body Electric", it denotes the act of replacing an important person or part in life with the likeness of a machine, thus creating a parasocial bond with a machine instead of the real thing, e.g. replacing a mother or caretaker with a robot.
It also implies that a robot can replace the recipient position in sexual acts and thus also can enjoy these acts. Various transmutations of acts exist between machine and man, machine and machine, Mann vs Machine, or only machine.
Guy 1: "Dude my wife died two months ago, I can't go on like this, I am miserable all the time and I can't go on without her."
Guy 2: "How about you get one of them robot caretaker thingies? I think that could help you get out of your ditch."
Guy 1: "I know my life is a mess and it won't bring her back, nothing will replace her but I see my life needs some order right now."
Guy 2:"Plus you can sing the body electric with it and that's hot."

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
