Biopolitoscience

A critical term that extends politoscience to the domain of biopolitics—the governance of life, bodies, and populations through scientific and medical authority. Biopolitoscience is the use of biology, medicine, neuroscience, and public health as instruments of political control. It operates through the pathologization of dissent (calling political opponents "delusional" or "mentally ill"), the naturalization of inequality (treating poverty as a "genetic" or "neurological" problem), and the medicalization of social problems (reducing injustice to a "health crisis"). Biopolitoscience is the science that tells us who is "normal" and who is "pathological," who deserves care and who deserves punishment. It is the power of life itself, mobilized through the authority of science.

Example: "When protesters are diagnosed with 'oppositional defiant disorder' or critics of government policy are called 'psychotic,' that's biopolitoscience: using medical authority to depoliticize dissent and pathologize resistance."
