Baeddel is the etymological root of bad. Originally meaning "a queer or effeminate man or hermaphrodite" people forgot all about the original meaning. Just as if everyone forgot that calling someone queer had anything to do with being gay and just began using it for its derogatory connotation. Later on trans women began calling themselves Baeddels as part of a feminist movement meant to reclaim their history sometime around 1990. Around 2016 when various tumblr users encountered real feminists trying to revive parts of an ancient indigenous language it went about as well as anyone could have expected. They should have just invented a xenogender.
Trans woman: I've been reading a lot about baeddels and I think I should start calling myself one because I'm tired of being called a man hating rapist child molestor.
Tumblr users: you're a man hating rapist child molestor! Probably racist too!

Words you can keep
A old derogatory term used against trans women and intersex groups. It originates back to Old English and means "an effeminate man" or a "hermaphrodite". Similar to the word "shemale".
Trans woman: "I'm a trans woman."
Transmisogynist: "No, you're just a baeddel!"

Related Words
Originally an old-English slur that likely meant "hermaphrodite"/intersex, but may have also been associated with "effeminate men". It's theorized by some that the word was the origin of the word "bad", but this is widely considered unlikely at best.

Around 2014, a group of trans women on Tumblr interpreted this to mean that transmisogyny was the root of all oppression, created an ideology around that ("Baeddelism"), became notorious for harassing other trans people- trans women included- as well as intersex people, created a "safe house" for trans lesbians, and eventually fell apart over sexual assault allegations from a resident of the safe house against one of the "leaders" of their movement.
"I fell in with a few trans women who identified as Baeddels back in the early 2010's."

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
