Arizona alligators
Long pieces of shredded tire and steel belt left on the road after someone’s tire blows up. They are common on Arizona freeways due to the heat.
They are called “alligators” because their shape and color resembles the back of an alligator, and when you run one over, they can be extremely dangerous, “biting” your car.
