It is January 1, 2019, almost midnight. I just thought up the best word of 2019! Argutext.
Argument + Texting = Argutext

ARGUTEXT I verb I portmanteau
ar· gue text | ˈär-gyü-tekst

Short Version: An online text argument. Sometimes rapid, emotionally charged and/or thoughtless.

LONG VERSION: Normally a heated debate or argument that occurs between two people through texting on their smart phones. Normally done in a rapid back and forth manner, sometimes emotionally charged or containing a plethora of emojis. It can occur without much thought of what wirelessly spills from the fingertips into the keyboard, magically appearing on the screen and into the eyes of the other person. Texts are through message apps on smart phones or online with computers or tablets.

1: Yesterday was one long argutext about signing the contract.
2: Since the incident, all that couple ever do is argutext about who is right.

3: This morning I had a massive argutext with the boss about my paycheck.

4: His texts were so accusatory, she almost felt like it was an argutext.

argutexting 

The act of arguing via text. This is usually done over a long period of time, filling as many unkind words as possible into each text. The texter is also punching letters faster than usual.

By the sounds her phone was making and the look on her angry, red face, I could tell she was argutexting with someone.

Brad: Hey, what happened, you look like you've been crying.

Jennifer: I was just argutexting with my sister, we're not finished yet.
