Aerowave
Also known as VaporAero or FrutigerWave, Aerowave is the aesthetic fusion of Vaporwave’s nostalgic, glitchy, consumerist critique with Frutiger Aero’s glossy, optimistic futurism. It takes the smooth gradients, glass textures, and soft glows of Aero and layers them with Vaporwave’s Greek statues, grainy VHS effects, and ironic corporate branding. The result is a bittersweet nostalgia—a memory of a future that never arrived, rendered in high‑gloss and then left to degrade. Popular in music visualizers, aesthetic moodboards, and digital art.
Example: “Her Aerowave playlist cover had a Frutiger Aero‑style glass sphere floating over a Roman bust, the whole image wrapped in a faint VHS tracking line and a pastel gradient.”

A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
