Kent State Massacre

Another name for the event that happened on May 4th, 1970, when National Guard troops opened fire on students after a series of protests occuring on the campus of Kent State University and in the adjoining town of Kent, Ohio.

The incident was initially sparked by planned student protests against Nixon's announcement that the US would send troops into Laos and Cambodia during the Vietnam War.
Students started gathering to protest in the first few days of May, 1970. Within days, the conflict between students and National Guard troops called in to keep order had led to arrests, injuries, the deliberate burning of an ROTC building, and the deaths of four students.
1) The events of May 4th, 1970, also called the Kent State Massacre, inspired a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song called "Ohio" (written by Neil Young).

Border State

One of the following: Kentucky, Missouri, West Virginia, Maryland, or Delaware. These states are sometimes said to be Southern states, but much more often are claimed as Northern or Midwestern states. They are called border states because of the divisions and tensions that developed in the United States from the early 1800s all the way to the American Civil War, as these states where located right in the middle of these arguments.
The border states are actually Northern states that have some Southern qualities and characteristics. For example, there were plenty of black slaves in every one of these states, and much of the economy was quite agricultural-based. However, the majority of people within these states fought for and supported the Union, and many of them saw the Southern Confederates as invaders and pillagers. In addition to that, these states received more European immigrants, had stronger economic ties with their other Northern and Midwestern states, and some cultural and social influence from the more Northern states seeped into these border states.
Kentucky and Maryland are border states. Though they are often called Southern states full of Confederate rednecks, they are really more Northern states who still have the same stronger economic ties with their sister states above them to this day.

We Run This State

"We run this state" was coined after the cocky Georgia Tech YellowFaggots had their anal rings torn and their colons ruptured by Joe Cox and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Fresno State

A great school with a nationally ranked Top 25 Football team (although with a shitty kicker), excellent professors, huge parties, gorgeous women, and an all around awesome "college experience". There is a thriving Greek system, and the school even has its own winery. The brand new 103 million dollar, 15,000 seat Save Mart Center on campus hosts Fresno State basketball, volleyball, and bands such as Metallica, Beyonce, and many others. The Save Mart Center was recently named the 10th busiest building in the world by Pollstar magazine. State's new Henry Madden Library opening in Spring 09' will be the largest library out of any other University in California.
I went to Fresno State because I felt like having a gnarly ass college experience instead of all those losers who decided to stay at home with their Mommy and Daddy, minimum wage jobs, and community college.

The United States of America

The United States of America also know as the U.S.A. is a country located in North America. Often criticized by other nations, it is still a young and growing nation that has yet to achieve it's full potential as a Political and Militant Superpower. Sadly, America is not known for it generosity towards other countries (even though it is i.e. WWI, WWII, the Indonesian Tsunami incident, and many more occurrences).

On September 11, 2001 The United States of America was subject to several terrorist attacks, killing thousands of people and devastating millions more.

America has been fighting to show it's Strength and Independence from the English Empire, beginning in 1763. The U.S.A. won it's independence After winning the Revolutionary War in 1776.

Even though America is projected as the 'Monstrosity of the World' is home to many notable Political and Civil Rights activists such as F.D.R. and Martin Luther King Jr.

"I leave you, hoping that the lamp of liberty will burn in your bosoms until there shall no longer be a doubt that all men are created free and equal." - Abraham Lincoln
