The date that occurs when you're too under the influence to remember the guy/girl you gave your number to. Text messages end up in a date where one person remembers what the other one looks like and one person goes in blind.

"Hey, how was your date the other day?"
"It was ok. The guy ended up being pretty cute!"
"I thought you gave him your number?"
"I was pretty drunk at that party. It was a half-blind date."

Man Date

Something two straight guys do together that they'd normally do with their wife or girlfriend, e.g., dinner, movie or shopping. Man Dates should NOT be confused with male bonding activities such as watching or playing sports, home improvement projects, car or other mechanical repair, hunting or fishing. A typical Man Date participant inevitably says to himself "This used to be cool when I was in college but now it's totally faggy."

Defuse Man Date tension by including relatives (in-laws are ideal) or 3+ participants.

My wife doesn't want to see True Grit so I invited her best friend's husband, which seemed too much like a Man Date so I also invited my brother-in-law.

cheap date

A person, usually a girl, who you can take out without worrying about $100 restaurant tabs. She's usually a vegetarian or prefers pasta and appetizers to a steak and lobster dinner. Some prefer going to a cafe or fast food instead of a fancy restaurant. If she doesn't drink any alcohol that's even cheaper.

Barbara chose pizza when we went out Saturday night and bowling the previous week. I thought she would be the type to break the bank but so far she is a cheap date.
