When the collective headspace gets toxic, people’s thoughts, beliefs, and feelings clash so hard it twists behaviour, forces people to pick sides whilst leaving fractures and distrust that outlast the fight. Basically, mental pollution in society.
The invironmental illness came from the whole group, breaking apart over something, anything, and eventually everything, until there was just one or the other.
