When one mistakenly thinks that one is alone in the house/apartment, and begins to do things one wouldn't do it one was with other people -- like singing, laughing at pictures of Hannah Montana, or fapping.

A shower that consists of copious amounts of cologne, body spray, and/or deodorant without actually showering. The purpose of the gentlemen's shower is to appear as a gentleman, even though you're a filthy slob who can't bother to shower.

John was running late for his interview so he took a gentlemen's shower as to appear as a functional member of society.
