Acronym for Fake Christmas Deadline, related to all the non-essential things you feel pressure to do before 25th December. Catching up before Christmas is not a real thing. Finishing your work to-do list (sad fact - you'll never finish it), doing your home renovations, hair, nails, whatever it is that has your sweaty hands clenched, stressed heart palpitating and knickers in a twist ... 6 days after Christmas, the world's still turning, no one's spontaneously combusted in an 'it's Christmas and your didn't get your shit done apocalypse' and most things you wanted to do will still be there. Relieve the pressure, just be festive, get your Christmas herpes and relax.

Girl: OMG I can't believe it's December. I've got so much on but we MUST catch up before Christmas.
Other girl: Let's do it in January. Don't buy into the FCD.

It is to be noted that this tactic can be viewed by many, including the female target, as an act of desparation. The term was coined in Fort Worth, Texas in late 2010.
