Duffster Dive

A term to describe a meteroic fall from grace of a high ranking public official mired in political scandal as a result of activity that amounts to political suicide for the official and anyone else that has voluntarily enaged in the activity.

A politician that has been caught mishandling public funds and who then engages in political subterfuge in an attempt to cover up the error is doing a "Duffster Dive".

locker diving

The end of the school year ritual where teachers and poor kids comb through the trash thrown out by other students as they clean out their lockers in search of usable school supplies for the next school year such as pens, pencils, and unused paper.

"Did you see the haul Mrs. Wright got locker diving? She ended up with about 5,000 pages of notebook paper, twenty binders, fifty five pencils and thirty pens!"
"Yeah, she's set for next years Algebra 1 math class."

Hoard Diving

The act of diving into someone's hoard. Usually for fun or profit.

Similar to dumpster diving, but instead of a dumpster, it's a private residence packed full of crap.

Pedro went hoard diving in Valencia and found a dead cat and some movie posters from 1981.

Rescuers had to hoard dive to get to the fat old man buried under his hoard.
