Hip hop is a culture, or a lifestyle if you wish.
the term '4 elements' was coined when there was still only 4 elements;

bboyin (not break dancing) which could mean break boy or beat boy or bronx boy depending on where you live.

emceeing, which used to be shoutouts and such later evolved into 'rapping' and no thats not what 50 cent does because 50 cent is a sellout loser that sings bout his imagineary 'hoes'.

Djing or turntablism, this started by them just replaying the break bits in funk songs so that bboys could get down, and breakbeats was the first hiphop music ('evolved' from funk music.)

Graffiti, i dont know much about this but its visual art.

The 4 elements was a good concept for a while, but hip hopp grew and became more than 4 elements, making this term invalid.
Hip hop is a lifestyle, its a culture.

It's a culture, it's a state of mind, it's a language, it's fashion, it's a style, it's something you feel every moment of your day. Hip hop is not commercial shit, hip hop is deep, it has a meaning for each person. You don't just listen to hip hop music, you feel it, you respect it, understand it, share it.

culture in which there are 4 elements that compose it. Breakdancing, graffiti, Mcing, and DJing. Culture which has their own dance (breaking), art (graffiti), music, language, and its race is international. Every race can participate in this culture. Hip hop originally didn't start talking about hoes or drugs or gangbanging, it started as a way to show off how good you are at the element you are good for and talk about other subjeccts like love, party, protest against goverment, music to enjoy other elements with, and stuff like that. The real hip hop stays underground and never sells out to be mainstream. Once its mainstream, it should be called just rapping, not hip hop! Hip hop was born underground and should stay underground. Hip hop should also not be asociated with gangs and drugs.

Neo Jazz-Hop

Share definition
Not to be confused with the already existing music genre "Jazz-Hop", Neo Jazz-Hop is a new age genre used to classify atmospheric music which fuses together jazz and hip-hop elements. Unlike its predecessor, Neo Jazz-Hop is almost strictly instrumental ambiance and beats, containing little to no lyrics, with a jazzy, hip-hop sound that can easily be indentified by listeners.

Neo Jazz-Hop music is flexible and accommodating in that it is not entirely exclusive to the use of hip-hop and jazz, yet is a collaboration of sounds that contain influences from other genres such as blues, soul, classical, etc.

Neo Jazz-Hop music is meant to be scenic, similar to how background music works for a television show or a film. The way Neo Jazz-Hop evokes emotions and thoughts from its listeners is unique, yet not entirely foreign: its lack of lyrics allows the music to "describe" a feeling, mood, or thought with sound rather than words, much similar to how music did so in the past, before lyrics were added.

The term "Neo Jazz-Hop" was derived from the phrase "Future Jazz Hip-Hop Fusion, FOR THE WIN!" (J.Jardin) which was used on a group wall discussion on the popular networking site, Facebook.com. Since the phrase was too long, "Neo Jazz-Hop" was then concocted as a genre in order to make organizing music on iTunes easier for those who found hip-hop and jazz as classifications too broad and general.
I like listening to neo jazz-hop artists like Nujabes.

1. True, when D12 rapper Proof died he took hip hop with him, a lot of people say when 2Pac died he took hip hop with him, but after that artists were still talented after that happened so I dont believe that. But after Proof died so called "artists" like Hurricane Chris and Soulja Boy came in and killed Hip Hop and people stopped making meaningful songs and made songs about dances. Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, Flo Rida, and Young Jeezy are all Wanksta's who killed Hip Hop.

2. An Album made by rapper Nas that was also made in 2006, he knows that Hip Hop died in 2006 as well.
1. *The Day of April 11, 2006*

Real Hip Hop Fan: Oh no its April 11, 2006! Proof's gonna die today and soon faggots like Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris are gonna start their career! Dammit! R.I.P. Hip Hop 1971-2006 and R.I.P. Proof 1973-2006.

2. Hip Hop is Dead was a great album by rap legend Nas.
