This data comes either from the creator’s own training, experience of working with clients, or both. These training plans are most of the time not as good as a program that is customized for the trainee’s own needs. Nevertheless, are cookie-cutter programs for beginners (Starting Strength for instance) the best place to start, as a beginner don’t know their own needs in a training plan yet.
