Prestige is related to wealth and being a part of the upper class. The exclusivity makes no difference in their success, yet they see it as a marker of, "Am I better than everyone else? I must be if I got in."

A prestige whore is someone desperate to fit in with people out of their league (higher tax bracket, better family lineage, more talented, etcetera).

Preston Parmesan is Tim Cheese's nephew and Justin Cheddar's son. Unlike most mice, Preston Parmesan grew up in the sewers of Paris.
