Universal Punishment

The Pesudo-Collectivist theory which states that if someone commits worng, then all must be punished as a result of that individual's wrongdoing.
Universal Punishment includes:

Gun Control: One out of 80million gun-owning persons just went off the deep end and murdured his family, so let's take away everyone's guns.

War On Drugs: One out of God knows how many coke sniffers just flipped out and killed a kid with a baseball bat, so lets ban ALL drugs.

These Gun and Drug control laws will be sure to lower the rate of shootings and drug overdoses in this country to 0%. After all, it's not like there's a black market where people could get them, or anything...

Hot Topic Punk

Pretty much the worst insult any punk/hardxcore/goth kid can throw at you. Basically you're a spoiled, rich little poser who thinks they're hot shit because they buy pre-ripped, pre-faded $60 jeans to look cool. Hot Topic is the scourge of the punk/grunge scene.

faux punk

Bands that MTV pushes on teenagers in the hopes that they can gain some credability. Usually catergorized by wearing too much eye make-up, having funky hair colors, and overall trying to basically look punk. They are pure image and nothing else, and using them to make yourself sound punk really is quite stupid.
Good Charlotte, The Used, Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan, Something Corporate, Bowling For Soup, etc.

pop-punk

it's a term used to name the music style of bands like Green Day, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, or Simple Plan.
This bands were influenced by the skatepunk bands like Bad Religion, Nofx, Pennywise, etc. They made the songs catchier so it would become more listenable to the mainstream audience therefore more popular. That's where the name pop-punk comes from.
Being mainstream music has caused the rejection of this music by other punkrockers who are against the mainstream and corporate music.
Nowadays pop-punk is influating other bands to create new styles of music like rock-pop or new hardcore-pop better known to the audience as emo music
Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan are the best examples of pop-punk
