An item whose name is derived from the word "pot" added with the suffix "-puri" meaning a) "fragrant aroma emitted to the air" as in "airpuri" (air purifier), b) "something memorable and nostalgic from the 1990's" which is named after the Japanese photo club known as "purikura" (print club). Hence, "potpourri" is best defined as "a nostalgic pot meant to emit fragrant aroma to the air that 1990's kids grew up having one at their homes".
