monkey lipped

To put something into one's mouth, like a cigarette, straw, spoon or pen and take it out only to have it covered in saliva. Similar to the way monkeys do at the zoo when they put anything in their mouths.

Teresa took a drag off my cigarette and when I got it back she had monkey lipped it. It was almost soaked to death.

Bill borrowed my pen and while he was thinking about the problem, he put it in his mouth and monkey lipped it. When I got it back, it was dripping with spit.
