To occasionally partake in things; particularly things not considered "right" or "legal" (i.e. illegal substances or sexual acts/partners).
A dabbler is not addicted or dependant on the drug or sexual act, just occasionally likes to try different things to spice up life experiences (i.e. "head change")

"Sure, go ahead and pass me that joint. I dabble with weed." >OR<
"I'm in Vegas, I think I'll try and get a hooker. No, I'm not a lesbian... but I'm a dabbler!"
