A principle that judgments of contradiction depend on the context of reasoning—what counts as a contradiction in a legal trial (beyond reasonable doubt) differs from what counts in mathematical proof (strict inconsistency). Contextual contradiction acknowledges that the rules for detecting and handling contradiction are context‑sensitive.
Law of Contextual Contradiction Example: “In everyday conversation, saying ‘I’m both happy and sad’ is acceptable; in formal logic it’s a contradiction. The law of contextual contradiction explains the shift.”

A principle that contradictions can arise from differing perspectives without there being any absolute inconsistency in the world. Two statements that appear contradictory may both be true when seen from their respective standpoints. This law is central to perspectival realism and conflict resolution.
Law of Perspective Contradiction Example: “The protest was both a riot (from police perspective) and a peaceful assembly (from participants’ perspective). Perspective contradiction doesn’t require settling on a single truth.”
