One who doesn't win "X", indirectly wins "X" simply by association to your winning of "X".

Husband: "I just won 1000 dollars!"
Wife: "Sweet! A round of drinks for the bar on me!"
*Wife and bar are winning by association. 'Nuff said.*

associate's walk

When you approach an Associate in a Big Box Store and request directions to an item or a department, the Associate will "guide" you to the location, using a very specific, walk style. They will walk in front of you and their pace is slowed down, similar to being the first car in a motorcade.

I was at the local Kohls and got lost looking for housewares. I asked an associate and they led me to the section. She immediately locked into her associate's walk and I followed like a lemming

Whereas one who hangs with someone who is awesome there by is regarded as awesome too.

Also applicable to someone doing something that is awesome, or owns something that's awesome.

Often shortend as ABA.

DUFF Associate

A normal to mildly attractive looking girl who has spent so much time with a DUFF she has taken on DUFF qualities (i.e. sitting around on her ass all the time, extreme sarcasm, increased appetite, and bitchiness). Occasionally refered to as a DUFF Ass.

"Dude, that girl was pretty nice when I got here, but now she's a total DUFF Associate. I'm gonna bang her friend instead."
