1)The action of reappearing into your last saved spot on a video game. Doesn't need to be a softlock.
2) The action of an entity apearring in an game, such as a Zombie spawning in a cave on Minecraft.

Gamer: Man, I will continue the game, where I will be spawning?
Gamer: There you go, light level 8, now monsters won't spawn.
