A misspelling of the word ‘litigious’ that sounds way better. The term ‘litigious’ means to be ‘quick to sue.’ The term ‘ligation’ actually refers to the surgical procedure of closing off an open blood vessel and has nothing to do with law, lawyers, nor lawsuits. But dang it! It sounds cool and if you argue with me, I’ll sue you!

People these days, when they get offended, are very ligatious.

Lirafornication

Lirafornication refers to the process by which Lebanese banks convert Lollar accounts (fake USD accounts) to Lebanese Lira without actual laws or official policies.

So far, this has been done by imposing unofficial capital controls thru absurd weekly withdrawal limits or by arbitrarily paying back interests in Lira instead of USD. Only the lord of Lebanon's Central Bank knows what other means of lirafornication may emerge with time. This term has been coined by researchers on twitter.
