Only the loudest whiner gets what he wants. ("The wheel that squeaks the loudest / Is the one that gets the grease.")
We all wanted the last bit of water, but since Hector whined all afternoon about being parched, Dad gave it to him. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

getting schooled 

Losing a contest/game/battle/argument in a humiliating fashion while the other person shows you how it is done. They remain as cool as a cucumber as if it didn't even require effort on their part.
Joe: "Ryan only has to get the black and then he has 7-balled me in this game of pool"
Jen: "You're getting schooled Joe, jeez!"

the turtles are getting curious

The phrase "The Turtles are getting Curious" means that you are currently holding in a shit that feels like one of the logs is poking its head out of your ass like a turtle does with its shell.
"Man, the turtles are getting curious, its poppin' its head out. I can't hold this *borrence* much longer."

Getting Around

A vague description of ones recent actions, usually when catching up with someone. 'Getting around' generally implies going out very often with multiple girls, partying more than most people thought possible, and doing it all without advertising it until someone asks.
Joe: "So, dude, what have you been up to lately?"
Steve: "Oh, you know, getting around. Nothing special."
