boom goes the dynamite

Phrase coined by a Ball State news anchor during what was to become the worst sports broadcast ever performed. Attempting to be like the guys on Sports Center, this ridiculous phrase constituted the only semi-coherent words spoken throughout the broadcast, indicating to the general public that his entire session was centered around this laughable quip.
". . Later he gets the rebound, passes it to the man, shoots it. . .and boom goes the dynamite."

at the drop of a hat

if you do something at the drop of a hat, you do it suddenly and easily, often without any preparation.
I can't go rushing off to Florida at the drop of a hat.

We now have a situation where laws may be changed at the drop of a hat.

house of the dead

A pretty good videogame shooter series made by SEGA. Could have been better if they had decent voice actors.

A shitty movie that bears the same name but has a boring plot, a VERY low budget, useless actors, tons of cliches, and even worse voice acting. Slightly worse than the Final Fantasy movie, which royally sucked too.
If you want House of the Dead, STAY AWAY FROM THE MOVIE! Just play the videogame series instead. At least that has more interaction since you get to shoot the zombies yourself.

At The Drive-in

Quite simply one of the best bands ever. Too bad they split up :(

My favourite songs by At The Drive-in are "One Armed Scissor", "Cosmonaut" and "Hourglass".

checking the digits

v. Thorough and generally spontaneous inspection of one's fingers.
Aristotle: "Why is Socrates looking at his fingers?"
Plato: "Man, he's just checking the digits, ain't nothing wrong with that."

Power of the Dollar

50 Cent a.k.a. Curtis Jackson's originally planned debut album to be released in 1999 under Columbia Records. Filled with 18 tracks of surprisingly good material by 50, this album is considered by many to be an unheard hip-hop classic. Two singles were officially released, "How to Rob" as a street single, and "Life's on the Line", which is a Murder Inc. diss, as a proper single with a video. "Thug Love", with Beyonce, was slated to be released as the second official single, but was cut short due to 50's infamous shooting by Homocide. During 50's recovery, he called Columbia and let them know he was ready to get back to promotion and things of the sort. He then received the bad news that Columbia was deshelving his album, and dropping him from the label due to bad publicity, and Tone and Poke (Trackmasters) felt it was dangerous for them to be associating themselves with a man who was just shot 9 times by an infamous hitman.
