A reoccurring segment on the Canadian political/social satire television show "This Hour Has 22 Minutes". In this segment, Rick Mercer talks to Americans and proves to us all how uneducated, ignorant, and utterly stupid many americans are.

Cutting phrase used to stop a discussion, similar to "whatever". Used in conjunction with the gesture of shoving the upright palm of the hand in the other person's direction.

(other version: "talk to the hand 'cos the face ain't listening" but I didn't know faces could listen, I thought ears did that!)

( adjective ) Used to describe someone who talks shit about you (99 percent of the time over the phone or internet because they're scared) but avoids you and wont say it to your face.

Stephen said he was going to beat up Austin and talked shit about him for weeks over the phone, but when they met face to face he tried to become friends with Austin because Stephen is all talk.

It is a substitute word to express # in the modern language. A description word is usually used after the statement "talk about".

For example, "talk about rich" would be a similar connotation to #rich.
