Country boys who didn't get enough points in the Leaving Certificate Examinations for a decent job, or who actually wanted to be police but quickly became disillusioned with the corruption, inefficiency, and laziness that pervades the force.
Generally anglicized in common speech as "the guards"

Garodge: blending garage and lodge. A renovated garage utilizing elements to resemble a rustic lodge interior for a living space while sustaining the garage door(auto entry) allowing the easy and simple return to the functionality of a garage.

An area of which its former purpose was to store a car and tools but has been renovated into a "garodge".
