String em up and shiv their ankles

To "string" somebody up and "shiv their ankles" was used as a threat during the 1540-60s in many parts of Eastern Arabia. When somebody thought their slaves were being abducted during the night, they would threaten the suspect with a "good ol ankle shiving." However, very few instances have been recorded where the person actually went through with the stringing and shiving. It was much easier to just shoot them. Now-a-days this phrase is used on the computer voice-chat program "Discord." When a person wishes for another person to be "banned" or "kicked" from a Discord "server," that person declares that the moderator(s) or owner(s) should "string em up and shiv their ankles," essentially, "Ban this scrublord from the discord because he is stupid."

a name given to an extremely stringy and elasticated mass of phlegm. not as thick and stodgy as an oyster but when you hoik it out and spit it as far as the eye can see, it gives a mild feeling of completion.
