micro nap

noun: falling asleep for no more than a few minutes at a time. usually taking place while in a seated position en route to a destination in a foreign country, it most notably occurs on tour buses of capital cities. a dream state isn't reached, but it's re-energizing ability is almost equivalent to a shot of espresso. the most common cause is due to jet-lag; no severe side effects; treatment is extended time spent in said foreign country

*on the bus*
"uncle, wake up! we're almost at our stop!"
"huh? oh! I'm awake!"
"are you still tired?"
"nope! took my micro nap! I'm good!"

pei wei nap

The nap that you take in response to an overwhelming feeling of lethargy as a result from consuming pei wei dishes that have a high carbohydrate/sugar/sodium content.

Person 1:"Dude, I ate lunch at pei wei, then tried to study for a test, but passed out for the whole afternoon"

Person 2:"Damn dude...those pei wei naps can really get to you"

Take a nap

A phrase used to indicate something is incredibly slow, that you could take a nap by the time it finishes. It's usually used sarcastically and in exaggeration of things that are slower than they should be, but not literally long enough to take a nap (15 minutes or so).

"I might as well put it in park and take a nap by the time this frickin' light turns green."

"This computer is taking forever to boot up. I could probably go get a coffee, bang that secretary in accounting and take a nap by the time it's ready to go."

"You haven't finished yet? Damn, baby! I'm just gonna take a nap already. Wake me up when you're done."

"Hey, waitress, we're just gonna take a nap over here. Wake us up when you finally get around to taking our order."

A nap taken after someone has consumed any amount of caffeine (i.e. coffee) resulting not in sleep, but blissful rest, while still mildly conscious.

Kaitlyn: It was fantastic I listened to the whole LOVE album, while seeming to float on a cloud.
Evelyn: Awesome! I just had a latte, about to have a coffee nap of my own!
