You can claim to be a feminist, but there are also different types/factions of feminist. Usually majority of feminist ask what faction are you. The two most practiced and well known factions are intersectional and radical feminism.

1. "feminism allowed women to vote in the 1920's!!!" (Which is actually the white washed version, ALL women were allowed to veto around the 1960s, not just white women.
2. "Smash the patriarchy!!" (Yes, radical feminist usually say this, but the majority of all feminist believe the patriarchy exist)
3. The only true feminist, is a feminist that includes ALL women. Woc, disabled women, lgbt+ women, young women, old women, poor women, rich women,.... There's so many different types of women!! And if your feminism isn't inclusive to all of them, then who is it for?? If your feminism isn't intersectional, then I am against it(not all intersectional are against feminism that Isn't intersectional).

The name may be misleading, but the Webster Merriam Dictionary defines it as ' the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes'. Thus, anyone who wants total equality is a feminist and can consider themselves as such. Men can be feminists as well.
