Affirmative is used over radio as “yes”
This is because with most radios, it can be difficult to make out what someone us saying especially if they just say, ”yes.”

Tank commander: (Over radio) “Gunner, see that tree line 12 o’clock?”

Gunner: “Affirmative”

Affirmative Racism

Just as Affirmative Action intends to correct for racial inequality by advantageously treating racial minorities, Affirmative Racism intends to correct for racial inequality by discriminating against the majority race (i.e. white people in most environments where Affirmative Racism occurs). Affirmative Racism is often displayed by the same people saying that you can't be racist against white people.
