grip and sip

Slang used to refer to the consumption of an intoxicating beverage, especially when the intent is to become very drunk. It can mean either the act of drinking or the beverage itself.

1. Hey, you ready to grip and sip tonight?
2. Damn, I need to get some grip and sip.

Friend Sip

A "friend sip" is the absolute limit of liquid a friend is allowed to consume from your drink when you are polite enough to share (one mouthful). No more than a "Friend Sip" can be taken by a friend, preferably less.

Sip Whore

someone who asks for a sip of your drink and proceeds to drink as much as possible before being forced to stop

Daniel: hey can i have a sip?
Ben: yeah sure
Daniel: *starts chugging drink*
Ben: Dude what the hell?!? stop being such a sip whore!

Double Sip

Very similar to a double take, a double sip occurs when one sips a beverage, but does not full acquire the taste, thus forcing said person to take a second sip to experience the flavor.

Example : When Stefan had his first beer, he did a double sip then spat it out.
